Read Recently...

Just last week I started reading this book called Wonderfoods, By Natalie Savona. It just mostly talks about foods and which foods help with digest, energy, mind, age, immune... etc. I think it's really interesting because I learn so much while I am enjoying what I am reading. I learned that pears are higher in soluble fiber pectin which makes them really good for the whole digestive tract. I also learned about strawberries, apples, eggs, mushrooms, chocolate and more really interesting things. This book has taught me a lot and I recommend it for a lot of people if they want to learn about fruits and vegetables and a few other foods and what they do for your body.

Animal Dreams

So far I have been really enjoying the book Animal Dreams. My favorite quote is "what keeps you going isn't some fine destination but just the road you're on, and the fact that you know how to drive." The reason why this quote stuck out to me was because it was one of the first times that Hallie just got frustrated with Hallie after all of her whining. What Hallie said really made a lot of sense and what she was telling Codi was the right thing. Codi is hurting herself and staying distant from others. I feel that Codi is afraid of change and afraid to move on. She has control of her actions and she is just not willing to let go of her past and that is effecting her now. Hallie is telling Codi that you have everything that you need and you are on the path that can lead you to many new things but it's you who is preventing yourself from all these new amazing things and people. This quote was a start to Codi healing and further along in the book Loyd also is trying to help Codi out but each time someone tell's Codi something that's right, I feel as if it's hard for Codi to accept it and she becomes upset.
My favorite character has to be Loyd. The reason why he is my favorite character is because I feel that he is very intelligent in life. He is always trying to help out Codi and help her and give her what's best. He may have been a bad kid back then but Loyd inspires me the most out of any of the characters and he really knows what he is talking about. He has lost his twin brother who described him as they were one. He is a good example for Codi to follow. Loyd knows about life, not to let life go and is trying to tell Codi that her life is passing right in front of her and also Loyd is perfect for Codi because he is teaching her how to get over her past. He may not know exactly why Codi is the way she is because of having a miss-carriage but he is giving her the tough love that she needs and throughout the book Codi is starting all over to a new beginning.
I feel that the most important part of the book is when Loyd and Codi were having a conversation about the houses and Codi is asking him why they look so old and why can't they just build new ones. Loyd said, "The greatest honor you can give a house is to let it fall back down into the ground." Codi didn't really understand what Loyd was trying to tell her. The point was it's the ability to make it. Now both Hallie, and Loyd have been trying to give Codi a wake-up call and I feel like this part was really important because Codi is started to develop into the new Codi.

My Favorite Book

My favorite book that I have read recently is The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. This book is about a guy named eddie who was a maitenance worker at the ammusement park. Eddie died by tying to save a girls life and he went to heaven. Throughout the time as Eddie was in heaven he meets five people and along with meeting the five people he learns a new lesson. First person he met was "The Blue Man," and it goes on. The reason why iI really enjoyed the book was because it always wanted me to keep reading and see what happens next. Who is Eddie going to meet, what is he going to learn, what is he going to see in the past? The book always had me asking questions and I really enjoyed reading it.
